Flawed.
This morning I realized that there are some serious design flaws in my apartment. I mean, what were they thinking, putting the bathroom waaaaaay at the other end of the house? They should probably have put it beside the bedrooms. They should have also put A GD HEAT VENT IN THERE. But the main issue I have with this place is that the food supply is located too far away from my bed. Ideally, I should be able to get food and coffee without having to get out from underneath this pile of blankets.
I’m going to sit here for a bit longer and think up a solution to this. It will probably involve a robot butler. Or a boyfriend?
Just make sure, when using the George Foreman to cook your bacon next to your bed, that you don’t step on it.
How come my last.fm is so gender divided? It apparently doesn’t think I like the female singers.
I mean, c’mon. We all like a little Beyonce, right?
I almost said, “If I see a wok, I’m running away”. Ba Ba Bum.
Ok, so the deli in my work building is branching out, a bit.
Last month they added a grill and starting offering cheeseburgers and the like. The aroma of cooking meat has been added to the already overpowering smell of the baking bread that wafts down the hallways.
Now they have taco day on Wednesdays. 99cents per taco. Kinda hard to pass that up so today I went for my first Taco Wednesday. I got there and they asked if I wanted everything on my taco. I said yes, got my tacos, and went on my way.
Now, I have to give the owner credit - he is an inventive fellow. The tacos were good, but being from a deli a little different. Instead of putting salsa on the tacos, they apprently just halved their tomato slices and then added their slices of onions to it - voila - salsa, I guess.
I’m starting to wonder what the next addition will be. But I have to say, if I see a wok, I’m not trying it.
My four year old informed me today that last night he dreamed he was playing with his friend, Turkey, and they had a lot of fun.
I can’t wait to see his face when his friend, Turkey, is on the Thanksgiving table!
Um, I would also like to say that is the first time I’ve ever successfully linked anything. Look at me getting all internet-y!
For the first time in a long time
I’m getting excited for Christmas.
It’s the first Christmas where Evan “gets” it. He’s excited for Santa, and snow, and reindeer, and singing in his Christmas Pageant and everything else that goes along with it.
It’s so nice to see Christmas through the eyes of a child. Everything’s bright and shiny and exciting. He doesn’t have to think of the economy, homelessness, Toys for Tots, none of that. He’s a very lucky boy. And I’m incredibly lucky to get to be his Mommy.
Now, if I can just talk him out of asking Santa for a Polar Express train…
